There are also award-winning fish & chip shops in the nearby picturesque fishing village of Seahouses and numerous child friendly country pubs all within a short drive. So, whether you fancy a quick pint after cycling in the Cheviot Hills or fish and chips after a walk on the beach, there really is something for all tastes and we will be happy to make our personal recommendations depending on what your preferences are.

Belford village is an ideal base for your next holiday in Northumberland. Only a short drive from The Antlers you will find miles of unspoilt beaches, the iconic Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island of Lindisfarne with Lindisfarne Castle, the nearby fishing village of Seahouses and the Farne Islands, home to the UK’s largest grey seal colony.

We are also ideally located for those wishing to visit the nearby market town of Alnwick, with Alnwick Castle and Gardens and many other seaside towns and villages including Alnmouth, Amble and Craster.

North Northumberland is an idyllic area for walking holidays with St. Oswald’s Way and St. Cuthbert’s Way on our doorstep, recently named ‘the best place for walking in the country’ by Country Walking Magazine. Those looking for cycling holidays are spoilt for choice with the Coast and Castles cycle route and Penine Cycleway North nearby.
